In C.S. Lewis’ second chapter on faith in Mere Christianity, he describes the relationship between glimpsing heaven (which can also be described as grace or reliance on God) and serving God, and thus others, in humbleness. In other words, faith is not just believing that something is true. Beyond believing, faith is understanding and response.
