The Fenton Facilities Fund was established by the Vestry in 2024. It was named after Mary Lorna Fenton who passed away 13 September 2022. Mrs. Fenton was a long-time member of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church. Unfortunately, in her later years, Mrs. Fenton was widowed and home bound. Vicki Cravens, a member of our lay eucharistic ministry team, was a regular and faithful caregiver to Mrs. Fenton. For several years, Vicki would administer communion, have deep conversations and regularly look after Mrs. Fenton’s wellbeing. When Mrs. Fenton passed away, she bequeathed her entire estate to Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.

This fund honors the generosity of Mary Lorna Fenton, but also the strength, dedication and selfless service of our lay eucharistic ministry program, especially as demonstrated by Vicki Cravens.

The Fenton Facilities Fund is an operating fund whose sole purpose is to generate predictable and reliable income that will be used to pay maintenance expenses related to our Church facilities, the grounds and the rectory. Our objective is to keep the fund’s principal intact and use the investment income to keep our campus beautiful, functional and safe.
