Gardner Headrick
Director of Facilities
Gardner joined the Holy Spirit staff in January of 2006. He spent over twenty years in retail operations management with Joske’s of Texas and May Company (Foley’s and Lord &Taylor) among others.

Heather Alexander
Parish Administrative Assistant
Heather joined the Holy Spirit staff in July of 2025. Heather is a cradle Episcopalian and has been involved in some type of ministry in the church since she was in high school and previously served as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Saint Matthew's Cathedral in Dallas.
Heather was born in New Orleans and grew up mostly in Texas. In college, Heather met her husband Chad, and they have 3 wonderful children: Emma, Henry and William. As a family, they love traveling and sports, especially soccer and martial arts.

Sophia Hwang
Communications Coordinator
Sophia Hwang joined the staff of Holy Spirit the fall of 2017. She comes to Holy Spirit with over 25 years of experience in graphic design and layout; including a few national awards for her work. Her children attended Holy Spirit Episcopal School. She is active in Scouts BSA and Houston Archery.

Francisco Miranda, Juan Cuevas & Nicolas Miranda
Sextons
Francisco has been with Holy Spirit for over 20 years, Juan for over 10 years and Nicolas for one. They are our main caretakers. They maintain our facilities, take care of any issues that arise, set-up for events, and make sure things run smoothly.

The pipe organ became a fascination for him forty-four years ago when as an acolyte he was sitting in front of an organ chamber and watching the organist play. The sound, pedal board, keyboards, and most of all the buttons and knobs where irresistible and organ lessons began at the age of twelve. John has a Bachelor of Music in organ performance from Louisiana State University and a Master of Music in organ performance from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University where he studied with Dr. Clyde B. Holloway. When not playing the organ John enjoys yoga, playing with the family rabbit Buttons, and watching his daughter Anna play club volleyball.
Liniah Slater
Director of Family Ministries
Liniah Slater is a graduate of Jackson State University and current MBA candidate. She brings a strong background in mental health, youth development, and nonprofit leadership to her role. Raised in her family church in Louisiana, Liniah is passionate about fostering meaningful connections between families, children, and the church. She uses her expertise to create programs that nurture faith, support emotional well-being, and encourage spiritual growth for all ages. Her goal for the youth and families of Holy Spirit is to ensure it remains a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and connected.
