Liturgy & Christian Formation

My dear Friends,

I have now been at Holy Spirit as your Interim for one month.  What a month it has been!  I remain delighted to be here and even more interested in what we might be able to do together in the upcoming months.  I have addressed some of the requests made to me by the Vestry, especially focusing on our common Liturgy and Christian Formation.  I’m delighted in the participation on Sunday mornings in our study of the Beatitudes as well as Wednesday morning’s Isaiah Study.  It’s been wonderful to gather and share our faith together.

I invite those who may be interested to join together on Sunday, 15 October, at 11:45AM, in the parlor, as we plan our Liturgies for the next couple months.  We have several special Sundays coming up with Baptisms, School Sunday, All Saints Sunday and our Thanksgiving celebration together.  Soon after Thanksgiving we begin Advent, then Christmas.  It will be a busy time for us this Fall and I am very excited for the opportunities to pray on Sundays with you all.

Another invite: join us as we plan our upcoming Christian Formation at a meeting scheduled for Sunday, 22 October, same place, same hour as above!  We will look at what we might do and study during Advent, i.e., Sunday School, Wednesdays gatherings and perhaps a Saturday Advent reflection time or whatever.

I invite you all into the process as we plan our time together here at HSEC for the next few, very significant months.

Peace and all Good!
Fr. Bob
