Suzy Spencer is a graduate of the IONA School of Ministry, Class of 2013, and has been joyfully serving in ministry. She served as Director of Family Ministries/School Chaplain at Holy Spirit from 2016-2024, walking alongside children, youth and families in their spiritual journeys and nurturing a strong sense of community.
In July of 2024, Suzy stepped into the full-time Chaplain role at Holy Spirit Episcopal School, where she leads 12 chapels each week, teaches Christian Education for Kindergarten–8th grade, serves on the school’s Leadership Team and as the school liaison for Blessings in a Backpack and plans student trips ranging from local day outings to international travel for students Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Suzy and her husband, Jay, have three children: Keenan, who lives in Colorado; Karsen, who lives in Dallas; and Jack, who is in the 7th grade. The Spencer family has been part of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church since 2016 and regularly attend the 5 pm service together.
