Summer Kick Off Parish Potluck
The Potluck “Almost your mom’s fried chicken” lunch on Sunday was a wonderful success!
Cynthia Sartwelle and I approached Father Mitch and offered to manage the event knowing that this was something he wanted to start having. Everyone was so kind and generous with their delicious side dishes and desserts. There are too many to name, but for all of you who came to the kitchen to lend a hand, we appreciate you very much.
As always at Holy Spirit, events like these do not happen without the assistance of our hardworking staff. Shout out to Sophia for advertising through Spirit Shot and Eblasts, Gardner for facilitating the room set up and Nicholas for making it all happen, and last, but definitely not least, Shelia for ordering the chicken and making certain that the kitchen was well stocked!!
We have more events similar to this planned through December. Community and fellowship seem to revolve around a good meal. It was great having so many stay and visit yesterday after lunch. We have such a fun congregation.
