In Celebration of all the Saints

There are so many wonderful things about having Holy Spirit Episcopal School as a part of our community.  Trunk or Treat is a great case in point as so many of our kiddos dressed up and had fun together and so many parents, teachers, and staff hosted trunks.  Sharing in the events of our campus brings a dynamic that is joyful and mutually supportive. To that end, please note that the Famfest Fall Festival that our school organizes for all our families has been moved back a week to November 11 due to expected storms this Friday.

One of the culminating events every year is School Sunday which we always celebrate on All Saints Sunday (we are the Saints after all!). This Sunday we will have a special first-Sunday-breakfast that will start at 9 in the gym.  We will be joined by students who will act, sing, and cheer as well as share their STEAM and art projects.  Additionally, before they join us for worship, we will have the chance to serve together packing Blessings in a Backpack bags to feed hungry children all around Houston.  I hope you will come and show your support and enthusiasm as we host our school.

As you scroll down, you will see that we have a very full and exciting few weeks ahead. One of the announcements is a save the date for our community auction and gala in February at which we will celebrate 60 years of shared ministry!  I pray that the fullness of joy in all that is to come will be a reminder that the blessing of sainthood given to all of us in our baptism is a blessing of community.  God always has so much in store for us.  I can’t wait to share the celebration with you!

We love you and God loves you,

Josh Condon+
