School Sunday is May 1st

On May 1st, we will finally get to celebrate all that God is doing at our school for Holy Spirit School Sunday.  Teachers and families will be welcomed.  We will have breakfast as we do every first Sunday, but this month we will gather in the gym to accommodate the size of our attendance.  The students will bless us with presentations of things they have been working on like songs from their production of “Lemonade” (my daughter has been practicing!).  I also just met with one of our baptismal candidates for this Sunday and she shared that she will be one of the cheerleaders who will cheer for us on May 1st.  It will be a wonderful morning.

After the gym festivities, we will go to parish hall to help pack bags for our Blessings in a Backpack program.  We always incorporate this into our First Sunday Breakfast gatherings and there will be many bags to pack as we near the end of the school year.  You may not know that the school is a major partner in this ministry as our students pack bags every week.  Students helping feed students is indicative of the wonderful ethos of our school community.

As we bask in the joy of Easter, there is so much to be excited about in the coming month.  School Sunday will be a highlight and I invite you to be a part of welcoming and celebrating all the teachers, students, families, and administration team members who a part of this wonderful ministry.

We love you and God loves you,

Josh Condon+
