Stephen Morris..Director of Music Ministries
Stephen began his piano study at the age of 4, organ study at the age of 12, and is now in his 46th year as a professional church musician. He holds degrees from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, and from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with additional study at Southern Methodist University/Perkins School of Theology in Dallas and at the University of Houston.

He has appeared as a soloist on the organ and piano and as an accompanist throughout this country and in Europe, and has worked as a clinician with choirs, solo singers, and particularly in the area of service music and hymn playing, and has been an adjunct member of the organ faculty at Baylor University.

He is a frequent program contributor to several chapters of the American Guild of Organists and has appeared as a national convention recitalist for the Organ Historical Society. An award-winning composer, his hymn tunes appear in several denominational hymnals, and his private voice studio has been nationally recognized for his work with early adolescent female voices.

Mr. Morris is presently Organist-Choirmaster and Director of Music Ministries at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas, and maintains a large vocal coaching studio at Baylor University.

Gardner Headrick
Gardner HeadrickDirector of Facilities
Gardner joined the Holy Spirit staff in January of 2006 and transferred his letter from Christ Church Cathedral shortly thereafter. He grew up right here in west Houston in Memorial Bend and attended Holy Spirit Day School for pre-K and Kindergarten. Gardner spent over twenty years in retail operations management with Joske’s of Texas and May Company (Foley’s and Lord &Taylor) among others. Gardner enjoys racquetball, sports, art, music, nature, spending time with family and working in the yard all with his wife Sharon at their home in Cypress.

Aimee Donnel
Aimee DonnelDirector of Business Operations
Aimee joined the staff at Holy Spirit in May 2014.  After growing up in Galveston, TX, Aimee attended Rice University, graduating with a B.A. in Mathematical Economic Analysis.  She settled in Houston after college, working as an oil service equity analyst for Simmons & Company.  Choosing to return to graduate school, Aimee graduated from Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Management with her Master of Business Administration and began her career at ConocoPhillips in 2004.  It was this change that brought Aimee and her husband Jon to the memorial area and to Holy Spirit.  Aimee spent 8 years at ConocoPhillips working in Corporate Finance, Planning and Strategy, Strategic Transactions and Investor Relations.  Upon her leave, Aimee was Director of Investor Relations at Phillips 66.  Leaving the corporate world, Aimee was excited to have more time at home with children Katie, Mary and Sophie and continues to enjoy this time with a family-friendly work schedule at Holy Spirit.

Suzy Spencer
Suzy SpencerDirector of Family Ministries, School Chaplain
Suzy Spencer joined Holy Spirit Episcopal Church as the Director of Family Ministries, and as the School Chaplain for Holy Spirit Episcopal School in 2016. Her dedication and passion for youth ministries and theology for the last 12 years have allowed her to develop a nurturing relationship with our students and parishioners.

Suzy graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor in Business Management and Human Resources and from Iona School for Ministry in Theology. She also received a Youth and Family Certification through Forma, a training program through the Episcopal Diocese.

Shelia Williams
Shelia WilliamsParish Administrative Assistant
Shelia joined the Holy Spirit staff in June of 2014. Prior to joining the Holy Spirit staff, Shelia worked as a registrar and cheerleading coach for Houston Independent School District for five years. During her time at HISD, she made it her personal mission to be a constant source of support for the children she encountered. She was also named one of HISD’s Coach of the Year in 2006, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Shelia grew up in Houston, Texas. She attended Mount Carmel High School in Houston, Lee College in Baytown, Texas and Sam Houston State in Huntsville, Texas. Shelia lives in northwest Houston with her husband of 13 years and their daughters Anissa (16), Sierra (12) and Jayden (8). Shelia and her family enjoy traveling for family and sporting events.

Sophia HwangCommunications Coodinator
Sophia Hwang joined the staff of Holy Spirit the fall of 2017. She comes to Holy Spirit with 25 years of experience in graphic design and layout; including a few national awards for her work. Her daughter is a current student at Holy Spirit Episcopal School and her son is a graduate.

Francisco has been with Holy Spirit for over 20 years and Juan has been with us for over 10 years.

They are our main caretakers. They maintain our facilities, take care of any issues that arise, set-up for events, and make sure things run smoothly.
